A Rare opportunity to see the 1936 film ‘Defence of Madrid’ in its original 16mm film format at the IBMT Len Crome Conference at Colston Hall, 24th of March. The 20 min film, directed by Ivor Montagu of the Progressive Film Institute, was made to show what was really happening in Spain and correct the picture portrayed by the newsreels and much of the press at the time. Introduction by Mateer Mateer, IBMT Film Co-ordinator. The film was shown throughout Britain and was used to raise funds for medical aid to Spain.
