In
addition to the monument on London's south-bank where the annual
commemoration is held (see
events), there are a
large number of memorials dedicated to volunteers killed in Spain
located throughout Britain and Ireland. Information on and the locations
of many of the monuments can be found in the book by Colin
Williams, Bill Alexander, and John Gorman, Memorials
of the Spanish Civil War, Stroud: Sutton, 1996.
Alternatively, there
is a clickable map, with details of many of the monuments held in
Britain and Ireland. Click
here for the map. There is also now a website devoted
to Welsh volunteers and memorials found in Wales. Click

On 7 July 2004, a new
monument in Waterford was unveiled by Jack Jones and Michael O'Riordan
and a limited edition commemorative booklet is available.
